What is VoLTE?

First of all, if you don't know what is VoLTE maybe you've seen it on your phone and you're wondering what that means you've come to the right place. Well, I will try to explain to you what it means so that you know. Let's not waste time and get to it.

VoLTE stands for Voice over Long-Term Evolution. So what it means is it allows you to make voice calls over the LTE networks instead of using the usual 2G and 3G networks.

The voice calls you make will connect faster and sound better with up to three times more voice and data capacity than older 3G UMTS and up to six times more than 2G GSM.

So have you ever discovered that when you receive a call whilst your phone is connected to 4G, it will automatically switch to 2G or 3G? Usually, Android users will notice this. With VoLTE It keeps you connected to the 4G LTE when you're making a phone call.

With VoLTE let's say when you're streaming videos or playing games and you receive a phone call, you can answer the call simultaneously and continue watching your video or playing your game without getting disconnected.
