Real-Time transit 'crowdedness' info, live food delivery status, can all now be shown on Google Maps

Many people are using mapping and navigation services less because of COVID-19 restrictions. That doesn't stop Google from working to make their app more useful.

Google has been working to make its app more useful and relevant. Today Google Maps announced three new features which include live transit "crowdedness" status.

Google crowdedness will show the real-time state of transit lines when you're looking up directions. It's based on users giving feedback in-app which Google made an inline experience under the "Live" status.

This information is crowd-sourced, it might not be available everywhere but should work globally. And, Google will now show the lice status of takeout and delivery made through the app

These nice features are rolling out now for Google Maps on Android and iOS.
