Netflix Adds Zimbabwean Billionaire Strive Masiyiwa to Board of Directors

Strive Masiyiwa, founder of the telecom giant Econet Global, has joined the board of directors at Netflix.

This is after Susan Rice last week left her board post in preparation to take a role in the Biden administration.

In a press release, Netflix co-founder and co-CEO Reed Hastings said: "We are delighted to welcome Strive to the Netflix board."

Netflix is an American content platform and production company headquartered in Los Gatos, California. Netflix was founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph in Scotts Valley, California.

Strive Masiyiwa is a Zimbabwean billionaire businessman and philanthropist. He is the founder and executive chairman of the international technology group Econet Global.
