Galaxy Unpacked: The Announcements
Today Samsung Announced 5 devices to its Galaxy range of products. These include the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S7, S7+, Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Watch 3, and the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
I will touch on all the devices which were announced and state what was said in detail. Not only that, but I will also mention the partnerships and new features that were announced such as the partnership between Thom Browne and Samsung.
If you did not get the chance to watch the event or perhaps you prefer to read all about it in short, well you have it all here. As usual, the event was a virtual event which was live on YouTube, Samsung Facebook page, and on Samsung's official website. Without wasting any time lets do this.
Galaxy Note 20
The Galaxy Note 20 was announced today. It has a screen refresh rate of 60Hz and a screen size of 6.7 inches. With a storage size of up to 128GB, 8GB RAM, and unfortunately no expandable storage. The battery capacity if 4,300mAh.
With the triple rear cameras,12MP main, 64MP telephoto, and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. With the popular, color mystic bronze which has a plastic finish, unfortunately, no glass back. This was it on the Galaxy Note 20. An In-depth Review will follow.
Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra was announced as well. With a screen refresh rate of 120Hz and storage capacity of up to 512GB and an option of expandable storage. Moving on straight to the screen size it is 6.9 inches and straight at the back of the phone is a triple camera setup. 108MP main camera, 13MP telephoto, 12MP ultrawide laser focus sensor.
The battery size is 4,500mAh with a glass back and 12GB RAM. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra also comes in the beautiful famous mystic bronze.
Galaxy Tab S7/S7 Plus
Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 Plus. The Tab S7 comes with a smooth screen refresh rate of 120Hz. It has a larger keyboard touchpad and multi fingers gestures and shortcuts. It comes preloaded with Clip Studio Pin. That's not all.
Notes App now uses voice recording and syncs whilst typing and syncs all devices on Galaxy Ecosystem. This was also said to support the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra.
Galaxy Buds Live
The first thing I noticed is the case. It's small and pocketable. The case is made up of recycled materials.
The Galaxy Buds Live has all-day comfort with 6 hours of playtime. The controls are customizable and bass boost tuned by AKG and what they called first noise cancellation.
Also, the call quality was said to be good. What impressed me during the presentation was the feature to share two buds on two different devices and watch the same thing. It is said it works on Galaxy Ecosystem.
Galaxy Watch 3
The Galaxy Watch 3 was announced as well, it was said to be the personal life assistant. It is modern and sophisticated. It comes in 3 colors namely mystic white, mystic black, and mystic bronze. It has 80.000 watch faces.
The Galaxy watch 3 will match to your outfit. All you have to do is take a photo of the clothes you're wearing, open the Wearables app hit my style, and customize the gallery. It will detect colors and creates watch faces that match the clothes.
Also, the Galaxy Watch 3 manages your health 24 hours. There are features such as to measure blood pressure, ECG, and check blood oxygen level. And the sleep monitoring feature which has been there for years for the Galaxy family.
There is also real-time feedback based on a run, the watch and buds can pair, also the watch, the phone app can pair with the Smart TV. The Galaxy Watch 3 is part of the personal trainer with 120 fitness programs on the Samsung Fitness app.
Galaxy Z Fold 2
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 was teased on the presentation. It comes in two colors mystic black and mystic bronze. It's 6.0mm thin and has a 6.2-inch full cover display when closed. When opened it has an all infinity 7.6 inches 120Hz screen refresh rate.
The battery was announced to be a 4.500mAh. The hinge was redesigned it has a sweeper out under the hinge to block dirt from getting inside. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has ultra-thin glass which can be folded. On the presentation, it was said the glass is thinner than a human hair.
Also, the hinge improved with the CAM mechanism which uses CAMx2. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be further shared more details about it on September 1, 2020, and the pre-orders too.
Samsung and Thom Browne will announce their partnership on that day as well with the Thom Browne Edition.
The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will be able to measure range and quick easy share by just pointing at the other phone all enabled by the Ultra Wide Band. Also, there is the Smart Things Finder.
Xbox Game Pass App
Gaming with the Xbox Game Pass app on the Note 20 is made easy. Using cloud gaming and 3 t's ( Turn, Toggle, and Tap) games like Grounded Destiny 2 will be available on September 15.
Samsung Dex now connects wirelessly and you can multitask.
The S Pen now has an improved latency of 9 milliseconds with the support of 120Hz it's now much better.
The Galaxy Note 20 ability to share simply by pointing at each other to share files across Android devices.
